Write a Review link for that item. God of War (Neca)NECA has done a fantastic job with their God of War 2 figures. The other Player Select figures were not so good, they looked great but they were just statues. Kratos has a bit more articulation, just like a God of war should. <img class="rightfloat" src="Galleries/playerselect/KratosFleece2.jpg"> To start off with the sculpt is perfect. And so is the paint, from his ashy skin to his blood stained leggings . He’s pretty big and heavy yet can still stand on his own if you pose him right. He is about 8inches tall so he towers over most marvel legends. Golden Fleece armor Kratos is pretty much the same figure with different accessories, head and left arm. The armor on that arm is sculpted and looks very nice. As does the head variation. Kratos comes with his two blades of Athena and a flaming chain attachment for them. I really like his accessories, the flame whip attachment for his blades makes it pretty awesome. I would have preferred the blades to have been silver with orange highlights instead of all orange though. In the picture I used the little glue strips that held the weapons in the package to hold his blades to his back. He also comes with a black base with a peg for his foot. Golden Fleece Armor Kratos comes with two blades, and a severed Gogon head with hand attached so you can swap out his left hand to hold it. <img class="leftfloat" src="Galleries/playerselect/KratosFleece3.jpg">Articulation wise he’s pretty decent, not marvel legends style but it’s good. His arms are ball jointed at the shoulders, swivel at the bicep and his hands are a little ball joint as well. His head can look side to side, down and up a bit, but not much. He has a V cut crotch, which was disappointing to me, I would of preferred better articulation there, maybe a hinge like the Mattel DCSH figures or something so he could stoop down or do a side kick. Since you can’t spread his legs to well its hard to get him into a position where he can use the flame whips and blades and still stand on his own. Overall I love these figures. They are my new favorites and I think that NECA is my new favorite toy company. They could of made him a little statue like the other Player Select figures but they new that the God of War needs to be able to fight.  by demonsight |
