Ultimate Iron Man Marvel Legends (Hasbro) (Hasbro)"Born with a chemical mutation that enhanced his intelllect to superhuman levels, but cursed with chronic pain, Tony Stark is a tireless genius. Among the most brilliant of the amazing technologies he has developed is the powered armor the world knows as Iron Man. As the invincible crime fighter, he fills the triple role of billionaire industrialist, head of security for Stark Enterprises, and founding member of the worldwide crime fighting enterprise The Ultimates. Despite it all, he remains plagued by personal demons, for within the armor that grants him his incredible strength he is a man like any other, and more haunted than most." Before I start this review, I just want to say that this figure is really awesome, pretty much like the Marvel Selects Ultimate Iron Man. Sculpt: This is by far, one of the most impressive sculpts from Hasbro I have ever seen. Sure, you've heard me say that tons of times before, but hey, Hasbro keeps on impressing. Just like with the Hasbro Raging Ghost Rider, Ultimate Iron Man exceeds my Hasbro expectations which are really low. I guess this is somewhat of a bad thing as well because my expectations have raised quite considerably and when Hasbro screws it up in the future, I'm going to go berserk! The sculpt is really good, with all the little robotic screw and widgets and technological stuff, but there is one area where Hasbro failed miserably. The face beneath the removable mask. It looks awkwardly 2 dimensional and the hair is sculpted is such a way that looks like he just put a bowl on his head and cut his hair. And I must mention that the figure is 6 and one third inches long. (6.5") 9 stars out of 10 because of the weird face sculpt. Articulation: Ult. Iron Man has around 30 points of articulation, all in the usual places, but no toe articulation, shin articulation, no finger articulation, and no "swiveling" foot articulation. 8 stars out of 10 because of all the missing articulation. WHY???? Why Hasbro? Why? Why can you make finger articulation for Ghost Rider and why can't you do the same thing on your Marvel Legends?!?!?! Paint: Ult. Iron Man has great paint, a simple light blue in the chest, dark painted red, vac-metallized shiny light red, and a dark gray with shading all around that makes it look somewhat 3-dimensional. Oh! must I forget the shimmering bright yellow on his mask which is also vac-metallized. 10 stars out of 10 because of the exceptional paint. Accessories: No accessories but the removable helmet that fits and stays on perfectly and the Annihilus Build A Figure piece. No comic book though, like the Toybiz Marvel Legends. 9 stars out of 10 because of the loss of the comic book. All in all, this is an awesome figure and I suggest you buy this if you gett the chance. I got it for 5 dollars and if you get it for even 5 bucks more, it still is a good deal. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
