DC Super Heroes (Mattel) (Mattel)I’m not digging this Terminator-esque Brainiac design at all, I got used to the Superman cartoon’s purple egg-head design I guess, but this is still a cool figure to display or use for an Ultron custom.

Brains stands about 6.5 - 6.8 inches tall, depending on how bendy the legs are on your figure. This thing is ridiculously articulated yet almost none of it is visible thanks to the hyper-detailed robotic design. The paint-job is a huge let-down though, the whole figure is a dull sickly unenthusiastic silver with what looks like a baby-blue wash to darken the grooves, blegh. Nice try, guys. :P Like I said, it’s a very detailed figure, all it needs is a better paint-job to stand-out. The shoulder and cranium are clear plastic domes with circuitry underneath, a pretty cool effect.

All articulation is there, even the two packs at the hips move up and down and the mid-section moves any way you want it to. The movement is only limited when you try to move the upper body forward, it will not go all the way, just a little bit because there are two hoses holding it back. Snip those hoses and the problem is fixed but then you have two loose hoses, that’s always a problem waiting to happen. o_@
