Darth Vader (Lightsaber Attack!) Star Wars - Revenge of the Sith (Hasbro)Found this guy in a bargin bin for two or so bucks and decided "what the heck, it's Darth Vader". It's a good toy, not the best, but a good one despite its flaws. Like most Star Wars figures, he's inscale with the GI Joe toys which is awesome. The sculpt is well done but the tricorder-box thing on his chest could stand to be just a smidge higher than it is and the shoulder pads should be black instead of silver but I can live with them both just fine. The articulation is what you'd expect from a figure in this scale: functional but nothing overly impressive. Both forarms are swivel joints with the same going for the waist, neck, right shoulder and hips. His left shoulder is a ball-socket number with the hand in the Force Choke pose. The action feature for this toy is simple and a little lack-luster. Turning the waist causes the right bicep to spin to simulate Darth Vader swinging his lightsaber I guess. They could have just given us a ball-socket shoulder and a swivel bicep for better execution in my opinion. The lightsaber hilt is a good reproduction of Vader's weapon which I really like. The cape is huge and when stretched out so that the sides are level is about six inches wide. The skirt...less so. Neither can be removed save by either cutting them off or taking the toy apart. Over all, Darth vader gets three stars out of five. Not a bad toy, just see if you can't find it on discount. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
