Write a Review link for that item. Batman - Mask of the Phantasm (Kenner)This is to this day my favorite Batman figure. First off because he was one of my first and the first one I remember getting. Second off because he's just so awesome. He comes packed on the same MotP card as the rest of the line. The only difference in being is that the card has a specific picture of the figure in question. The figure is essentially the exact same Batman Kenner had produced and churned out several variations of in the Animated series line. The only difference is that this one has a metallic purple paint job. It actually looks very good in person. This figure has all the articulation you'd expect from the Batman brand. Five points all cut joints at the neck, shoulders, and hips. Though not much and I would have liked some elbows and knee joints this is still just fine. What was Kenners problem with elbow and knee joints anyways? I can't think of a single figure made by them in any line that had any of the joints in question. Sorry I was ranting. He has a good amount of accessories for combating the Joker and his ilk. He includes an oversized batarang molded in mettalic purple plastic and a metallic purple shield. He also includes a gray shield for his shield. What was Kenner thinking did they have Xzibit and have him say "Yo Batdog I hurd yo like to shield. So we put a shield on yo shield so yo can shield while yo shield. Yu hurd?" Even as a five year old kid this made no sense. For his name sake he comes with six gray pieces of armor to cover himself with. It looks like stone and covers his arms above his gloves, legs above his boots, his chest and a connecting helmet. He also includes the standard cloth cape. Kenner beat themselves to the punch by releasing an armored figure with the word total in it. This figure paved the way for an entire line (Total Justice).  by King Kaiju |
